Title: There Will Be (More) Blood; First head shave with straight razor.
Post by: Blitzed on February 24, 2014, 03:06:56 AM
I must be getting a bit better. Apart from the predictable knicks-shaving something round...well ovoid...is different from shaving your face and that has largely to do with the fact that for over half the event you're effectively shaving the dark side of the moon. And it went...so so. I had to redo it with my DE....that is after I stanched the blood flow from my lip. In trimming my moustache I took a cut out of it with my scissors. I now know another place that bleeds badly and quickly, the only difference being that....I couldn't figure out how to put a tourniquet on it. Also, because by then I'd lost my nerve, my moustache is two separate lengths. It's not a good "look".

Invest in an Alum block. I've only used the one made by RazoRock, I recommend it. Instead of using scissors to trim it go for an electric trimmer, there are plenty of inexpensive options.
