Title: Salicylic Acid on dome
Post by: Goatee on June 23, 2018, 02:21:24 PM
Salicylic Acid

Anyone use this on the dome?

I just started to use it as i suffer with acne on there. This stuff has brought out even more! Apparently that is the norm.

Any comments?

I use a skin cleaner with salycilic acid called "Seabreeze".  It is sold over the counter with different percentages of SA.  I buy it in bulk at the barber supply store.  I love it as a skin cleaner

You may remember that I have the skin issues when trying to grow out my hair. I have tried shampoo with salicylic acid in it, and it didn't work. A dermatologist gave me 2 prescriptions, a shampoo and a lotion to apply twice a day. Neither worked. If I shave daily, no problems. I accept this as a sign I'm destined to forever sport a shaved bald head. When someone has a hard time understanding why I am BBC, I use the dermatitis as an excuse. Easier than telling them I love having a shaved head!

I also tried every home remedy I read about, vinegar, peroxide, etc. I did just read that cleansing with Dawn dishsoap might work, haven't wanted to stop shaving, so haven't tried it. Good luck, hope you can find a solution.
