Gozman, good luck to you. You are entitled to your opinion and we respect it, however we don't entertain trolls...If you can't find what you are looking for, you are free to leave this site, no questions asked. Have a great day.

You were doing well until you accused me of being a troll.

Gozman, I didn't mean to come across as accusing you of being a troll. But looking at your first two posts, (which was borderline trollish), you were against this site being positive which got some members angry. In response to your second post, no one said anything against laser removal. Most members, however may not have the funds to support it. That said, you are welcome to disagree with any post as long as it's not an attack on other members. Once again, if you don't like the site you are free to leave. Good luck.

I think the whole laser on the dome is just retarded, it's one thing if an individual has skin problems so severe that they can't shave but just to do it for aesthetics and ease of use is not worth it.  ( If I offend any retarded people, deal with it )

I can think of many better things to do with that kind of money, sorry guys I just can't see it.    :/O

Just two examples. I'm a realist not a troll, and I can't help dislike sites like this. However, I find this section of the forum helpful and applaud everyone who was brave enough to undergo this procedure themselves!

It's one thing to say a person looks good after a shaved head and ban every post that says otherwise, but it's another to be honest and provide fair criticism (which this site doesn't do). I know how devastating hairloss can be, I almost took my own life. I had long luscious hair and now I always shave my head no guard. When I shaved my head I realized that I actually look pretty damn good (and am extremely lucky for that).

Hairloss has taught me one extremely valuable albeit depressing lesson. In life we lose things we hold dear to ourselves...deal with it.

Gozman, I guess we will have to file this under "we will have to agree to disagree" I will say that I am happy that you found a subject that is of interest to you. I will give you some credit for finding those two particular posts, but I didn't feel like scrolling through 50 pages of posts. I'm so sorry that your hairloss is stopping from you living a full life, but I also want to tell you that not all of our members shave their heads. Some keep short buzzcuts, some may clippershave, etc., etc. The purpose of this site is to show men that they can live normal and exciting lives in spite of their hairloss. I hope you're not a member of that hairloss help.com site....I personally do not like that site, because most of the men there come across as whiny and almost every story is a tale of woe....but I don't go on there attacking them because of their negativity. I have nothing against laser hair removal, however, I don't have the money to invest in such. But if (when) you go through your treatment, I wish you well and hope that it's what you want

P.S. I'm going to challenge you (nicely) to post a picture of yourself...I bet you're making a big deal out of nothing.

Gozman, you have so much to learn.  I hope that one day you'll understand it all, but in the meantime, good luck with the laser hair removal.  It sounds like the option that's going to make YOU most happy.

Ditto. But I must wonder....have you had a discussion with a GOOD Dermatologist? A Barber? Anyone who routinely deals with hair professionally? If you haven't and have been charmed by the allure of snake charming "laser specialist" you really need to do some research. Now, not after....

gozman, I gotta just come out and say it, being where I'm from I can't hold back. You are a weak a--hole. If you feel you need to do anything such as taking your own life because you are losing your hair, you have much deeper problems bud. I too had long hair back in the day and I eventually grew out of it. When I started to realize I was losing some of my hair, it wasn't the end of the world. I always knew I would be buzzing it down short. There was never any thought of doing anything else. No hand wringing, no thoughts of ever using a drug or getting a hair piece or transplant. As a man, you deal with it and get on with life. That's how you do it. To me, I think it's pathetic the route you planned on, or even entertained the thought of taking. Good luck with wasting your money on something you can do with a blade and shave gel.

Hair is just something that gets in the way of excellence, I'm confused you say you realized you look good after you buzzed your head but yet you also say that you almost took your own life when you lost your hair??? If you think you look good with your hair buzzed than what's the problem?? But bringing negativity to this website will get you nowhere, this website is all about positive influence for guys that are struggling with hair loss and helping them make the decision of wether or not they should shave for the first time, I found in this site a brotherhood and a bunch of great guys that support the Bald lifestyle, but good luck to you sir! 2 bad this site was not a good fit for you.

You call me weak, yet you try and gain positive affirmation by joining a site like this? How contradictory. Losing your hair isn't just about losing your hair. It's a sign of death. It constantly reminds you that you are not immortal, something we ignore on a daily basis. If you are not very smart then you wont look at it that way "hur durr losing my hair now galz wont loving me"...no...that's is not why hair loss almost destroyed me.

I said before I buzzed my hair I almost took my life. I was so afraid of what I looked like with a shaved head. I took the plunge and glad I did. It saved my life because for a while I forgot I was balding. However you guys don't seem to get the difference between losing your hair and shaving your head. The difference is like tucking your arm away and having your arm cut off.

"hair is just something that gets in the way of excellence", no hair is a part of your body, like your arms/legs albeit less useful. It belonged to you, you've had it for years. You owned it. Saying hair gets in the way of excellence is silly, putting down people with hair just to make yourself feel better?

Anyway you guys can continue attacking me for being a realist, or we can just carry on with what this thread is actually about.

Gozman....okay, we get it that you don't like this site....all good. We get it that this thread interests you and that you are interested in getting a laser job done....also all good....as far as the two comments about laser that offended you, well, that's what a forum is for, right? To have a tactful disagreement without attacking others...While some comments could have been worded differently, I feel as long as a comment is not an attack on a person, no harm no foul. While I think xnewyaka's response to you may have been a bit extreme, in fairness, (and I'm not taking any sides here) you started your first post in this thread with what appeared to be an attack on people who were against this procedure, and you left the door open to get an adverse response from the member who happened to be against this procedure....and remember, just like you have the right to dislike this site, being bald or whatever, it's his right to dislike this procedure, no matter how extreme his posts are/were worded. It's okay to mourn the loss of something in your life that you feel is/was important to you, and I respect your stance. Thankfully, we live in the U.S.A. where we have the choice to do with our heads whatever we feel. Do I wish I had a full head of hair? Sure, but looking at other situations that others are going through (children with cancer, combat veterans missing limbs, etc.), if hair loss is the worst thing that could happen to me, and the penalty is walking around with a shaved head with a horseshoe shadow, I think I'm living a blessed life. I'm not against getting a laser job on my head, but I have more serious needs in life, and a laser job that may not be guaranteed to work is a luxury not a necessity for me. (and if you disagree with me I respect that). Getting back to topic, gozman and fellas, this procedure, while the results look good on those who do it, and I congratulate those who went through it, it is not 100% guaranteed to work (and by the way, you still have to shave at some point, just not as frequently).....It could be risky just like an HT, minoxidil, rogaine, etc. but just like in life, when we make choices, we have to be prepared to accept the consequences for bad ones, just like we can accept the rewards for good ones. So gozman, have you found someone to do this for you, and are you going to go through with it? Either way, good luck to you, and I wish you well.

First off, gozman I apologize if what I said felt like an attack on you. I responded to your post too quickly, and looking back on it I should have been more careful in my wording, as was pointed out by Sir Harry.
I know it's a touchy subject and I realize it will be harder for some to deal with than others.
I feel strongly that most of what men who come to this site will get is positive encouragement. We're here to help people who are dealing with hair loss in a natural way, and by no means do we put down anyone with hair.
It's always better to take it as it comes, and I've suggested to many of the guys to buzz it down gradually before they decide to use a blade.
Anyway, I wish you luck with your future choices regarding hair loss and lasering.

Tbh I expect it, as I can come across as cynical and jaded. Hair loss alone doesn't break a man. However, when you are already suffering from severe depression which you've had most of your life (childhood trauma), anxiety and anhedonia. When you've dropped out of college because of something that you couldn't control (depression), suddenly something else that you can't control is planning to once again reduce your quality of life and introduce a whole new set of problems. Things like that break a man, being kicked when already down. It can take one little thing to push a man over the edge.

I won't be going foward with it yet. Currently I'm only visibly thinning in the frontal region, but my crown will slowly but surely give in. Once I spot that bald spot, off to the laser clinic.
