Between 8 and 12 laser sessions are planned.

I have a few white and gray hairs, but not many. That's also why I wanted to start now and not wait any longer.

Let us know how it works out for you @KLS-1989

How many sessions do you have planned?

I assume your hair is dark based on the shadow in your photo.  Do you have any gray mixed in?

Hello from France.

I'm 37 years old and have a full head of hair.

After eight years of shaving, I'd had enough of shaving every day and I'm fed up with the five-hour stubble. So I decided to try laser hair removal. The first session was last Saturday.

Head Shaving / Re: Question: How many shaves are you getting out of your razor?

I'm curious what other head shavers are seeing in real life.

For guys who shave their head daily or every few days, how many good shaves do you usually get from a cartridge, disposable, safety razor blade, or head-shaving razor before it starts dragging? I?m interested in hearing what others are doing to stretch blade life without sacrificing a clean shave. I'm interested in the routines and frustrations of people who shave more surface area than the average face shaver.

A few questions:

How often do you shave your head?

What razor do you use?

How many shaves do you normally get per blade or cartridge?

What makes you finally toss it ? pulling, irritation, rust, clogging, or just habit?
I use various razors and chuck them when I start to feel the lightest pull.  But I usually get at least 7  shaves out of a fresh blade

Beards / Re: Switched to Stache from Beard, Love it

Great look!

After many years of sporting a beard most of the time, in 2023 I decided to try a mustache. At first, I wasn't convinced, but it's become my go-to look. These days, I rarely let my beard grow for more than a few weeks, but I always shave back and keep my bushy mustache. It's cleaner, easier to maintain, and I think it makes me look more interesting. Not many men have mustaches, and beards are everywhere these days.

The mustache community is growing every day as we see the advantages.

Cheers!

I use the Gillette Fusion.  I shave every other day, head only, and change the cartridge monthly.  So that is an average of around 15 head shaves per cartridge.  At the end of the month I am still getting good shaves, but it does drag a bit.  I don't really notice the drag until I shave with the new cartridge, so it is not that bad.  So I could extend the use even longer.  In addition to my head, I also do a little cheek line shaving on my beard.

FYI - I shave in the shower and use Cremo brand shave cream.  The shower keeps my head moist throughout the save.  I store the razor on the upper ledge of the shower, up side down, so the blades dry well.  Also, my financial situation is good, and the cost of the Fusion cartridges does not bother me.  I have used other types of razors in the past, and for me, the Fusion is the best I have used and lasts the longest.  I remember changing cartridges weekly on some of the cheaper brands in the past, so they actually cost more to use.

Hello Dan:

Great choice with the shaved head.  You really rock the look!
The only sure fire way to defeat the shadow is o go for laser hair removal.  It is a bit expensive and must be done before you get any grey hairs, but it is awesome not having to shave anymore!

The picture of the top of your head with hair doesn't look bad.  Thinning, but no where near time to shave.  But the the two photos shaved are incredibly good.  The geometry of your face and head perfectly supports the shaved look.  You look much more attractive bald.
