Talking with a bald and bearded friend,I realized that:
One of the biggest reasons why I'm bald ( by choice ) is because I love how makes my beard looks bigger and thicker.
If I was not capable to grow one,I would definitely let my hair grows again.

It is a look that works for you, Tony. I will also say it is a look that works for most guys. I was much happier with my shaved head once my full beard grew in.

Being bald without having a beard.....is easy to look weak or sick. Facial hair brings a lot of balance to the head.

It is a look that works for you, Tony. I will also say it is a look that works for most guys. I was much happier with my shaved head once my full beard grew in.
The bald head makes the beard looks more prominent,and the beard enhance the chrome dome effect...love that.
How long since you don't cut your beard drastically? Since you went bald?
This look feels right,like if always was planned to be this way.

Disagree that it is "Necessary"
I think that many, many guys look better bald and clean shaven. It certainly is a more clean cut and "athletic" look!

Is hard to pull it off,but if you can with all that skin showing....is great look.

I started shaving my head around age 49 and at the time I had just a short circle beard:

@slybeard Thanks for sharing your transition photos....While the beard looks the best, IMO, any of the facial hairstyles fit your bald head nicely, even a standalone mustache if you ever went that route.

I'll try to get a current photo. The length is now between the last photo and the one with the curled handlebars. I think it is more of my sweet spot for length. I purposely let it grow untrimmed in the last photo because I just wanted to see how long it would grow. What you do not see in the photo is how uneven and stringy the ends were, because I had the last 2 inches of them pinned up.
I did the circle beard for years, but not because it was my first choice. I always wanted a full beard, but my cheeks did not corporate. I was in my mid 40's before the hair there started to really kick in and get thick enough for a full beard. So now I am making up for lost time. I think not being able to grow a full beard for so many years makes me appreciate it now.
Shaving my head put the icing on the cake.
