Title: Head Wipes
Post by: Tbone on April 25, 2007, 10:05:00 PM
Ok I was wondering if there is a specific product made to keep your head fresh during the day or if baby wipes were the answer here. At work I tend to sweat ALOT, its usually 75degreesF in the winter and in excess of 110degreesF in the summer. Regardless I work hard so my head sweats a ton. The powder and sanitary stuff that I use on my body I wouldn't want to put on a fresh shaved head. There's the problem, what can I use on my sensitive skull to soothe and clean my pores during the day? I won't have to worry about sunscreen at work because I'm indoors. I bought some SPF 15 stuff from headblade for the hell of it. Please tell me there is something out there for this. Thanks in advance, -Tony

I found some Clean & Clear Cleansing Cloths samples packages laying around and decided to see if they could help reduce the peeling on my head. Unlike headlube my scalp feels like silk and the dead skin is nowhere to be found. I think I'm done with headlube, I've got to get me some more of these pads.

After my shower shave I followed the instructions on the box and WOW I don't think I have ever had this much shine (more like a glow!) or that my head has been this slick. After I used the pad I could feel those little hairs that are so hard to get after shaving. They were standing straight up, I took my razor and with no problem scraped them right off. Followed the whole thing with the cold water, and I look like I have practically no shadow and the head is glass slick and shining. I would recommend anyone giving this product a try.

Rajun Kajun, That's it!
But I'm warning anyone who uses it that their head will be "glass slick" and shining.

I would highly recommend BaldGuyz head wipes. My head gets pretty oily throughout the day and one of those takes care of that for a few hours. I like them a lot.

I second that!  I just tend to go through them too quickly.  They make the head feel nice and cool after using one.

I bought some to keep in my desk at work.  They come in handy after walking to lunch or before a big meeting with clients.

I try to limit myself to one BaldGuyz headwipe a day. It is tough because of the sensation you get.

someone do a comparison between baldguyz headwipes and clean&clear wipes....if they are similar the C&C seems like a much cheaper alternative since it comes with 70 wipes per vs 16 wipes of baldguyz headwipes.

Before you order, I would check out the local Walgreens or CVS. That's where I get mine.

Was a little skeptical of the Bald Guyz Head wipes. But  bought my first box from walgreens , and used it today.  I was really impressed, felt good and my head has been feeling really nice to the touch all evening. Will take one with me everyday to work.

So bought my head wipes two nights ago from Wal-greens. Thanks for the advice. I use two everyday. One mid morning at work and one mid afternoon at work.  It's a great pick me up and really seems to be keeping my head clean when I'm not at home. Thanks again for the advice.

I have been using the Cottonelle Kleenex wipes. They work well and I think they are less expensive. They are also alcohol free, contain aloe and E, flushable and sewer and septic safe.

You can get them all most everywhere, and Target has their own brand which is even a little less.

I was somewhat hesitant on the Baldguyz wipes also, I didn't want the KFC handwipe feeling on my head. I picked some up and have been very pleased with them. They work really well after you have put lotion with sunscreen on your head and move indoors for the rest of the day. Almost feel like you showered!! O0

I used some Bald Guyz wipes today on my way to work.  For some reason my dome was totally sweaty, so I busted out one of the wipes I keep in the console of my car and fixed the dome up!

I've been riding the 75 miles round trip to work and back to save gas and HeadWipes have now become a part of the riding gear.  As I live in the country, half the ride is through open land and the dust and dirt are always blowing around out here.  Thanks to the HeadWipes I can freshen up at a stop and get the old dome sparklin in no time.

I've seen these in the stores for a while now but never gave a second thought to buying them because I figured they would just wipe off the product that you put on after shaving.  Plus my head doesn't get too oily during the day.  If it does get a little oily I prefer that so that my scalp doesn't dry out.  So to my sly bros who use these, doesn't it wipe off the after product that you have applied after shaving?

yeah it seems to but I shave at night. In the morning ill put lotion on after a shower BUT by like noon I've probably sweat all my headlube off anyway. I'm not worried about the lotion being on my head all day really I just use it to keep my head smooth. The wipes really give a cooling feeling and I believe they clean REEEEALLLY well. If you have a problem with pimples or anthing I'd definitly recommend these.

I shave in the morning and usually use a wipe in the afternoon, so by then the lotion has been absorbed.  Also, everytime I use the restroom at work and wash my hands, I wipe the dome clear with a wet paper towel.  That also helps cut down on my shine.  The wipes help cool it down too.

Tom
16 to a box...similar to a wet wipe, but has a pleasant fragrance and feels very good. wish they came in a more economical "costco" package.

I think they are way to expenisve compared to other wipes on the marekt. I won't purchase them. I wonder of the people who are endorsing them and their relationship to the marketer. Of course this will be immediately denied. Good luck

They're like wet wipes, but not so wet that they leave any liquid behind.  No relationship to the marketer here; I just like the way they feel!

Not all wipes are created equal! As the manufacturer of Bald Guyz Head Wipes there is a big difference between these and any other wipes on the market. Regular wipes use different alcohol which can dry the skin of the head, we use a moisturizing alcohol. If you use a bay wipe they will leave a residue on the head and make it feel greasy.

We are working on a value pack to proved more wipes at a better cost and will introduce it online in the next month.

To reply to Koaa2,

There are NO other wipes on the market like Bald Guyz Head Wipes. Baby wipes leave a residue; Wet Naps or Wash & Dry wipes leave the heads totally dry; cleansing wipes contain soap and other surfactants. Our wipes contain a moisturizing alcohol to clean the oil and not dry the skin. They cool as they dry and leave NO residue. I pack them in individual packettes so that they have just the right amount of moisture. You cannot pack them "bulk in a canister because they are not airtight and you need to add too much liquid to maintain the freshness. This would make them too wet and leave a residue. The average cost is $0.31 per wipe. We will be offering a 50 pack and a 100 pack at a cost per wipes of about $.25 each. As a bald guy with an oily head that sweats alot this is a very small price to pay to look and feel good. For the record, NO MEMBER of Sly Bald Guys has any financial interest in our company. They are speaking their opinions and support Bald Guyz products because they work!

I finally gave in after hearing all the reviews and bought a pack of these the other day.  I didn't like 'em at all.  I used one in the middle of the day and it felt like it dried my head out.  Then again my dome is on the sensitive side and prone to drying.  I actually like the oily feel.  I use HeadLube Glossy after my shave and it keeps my dome feeling smooth and almost wet feeling all day.  When I used the head wipe it was like it took all the HeadLube off.  I do wash the dome before going to bed at night though with a non-soap wash.  But then after washing I always apply a little more HeadLube to keep it moisturized through the night.
