That's my favourite advantage!!! No dandruff.
For the past 5 years no matter how often I washed my hair and no
matter what product I used dandruff would just not go away.
But it has gone away since I have started shaving. I'm sorry if this
has been mentionned before but for someone like me who was ridiculed
for the amount of dandruff I had "Man don't you wash your hair?" and when
getting haircuts "oh my God, your hair is dry, here is a product you can use. Make sure
wash your hair."
Those who are not in my situation would just not understand that look I try. I swear I did.
I sometimes took 2 showers a day and no help came through.
Dandruff also made it that I have an itchy scalp. Right now both are gone. :)
yeah, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. And now I see light.

Hey Math Dude,
That's the main reason I stay sly! Completely relief from a bad scalp condition can not be mentioned enough!!!
Welcome to slydome!

Amen bro....good point !! O0

glad it worked for you. I had somewhat of a dry scalp but not to the point where people would notice and call me out on it. I will be honest and say taht I have seen people like that and I would often think the same thing. Many doors open when you shave your scalp smooth! Way to Go!

Yeppers same result here,,, now I guess I could regrow the hair and try using the Head Shed,, nope,, as it stands now,, I'm sly for life.

I had been fighting dandruf since my teenage years - trying every dandruf shampoo and remedy available. Nothing worked. When I began buzzing my head 3 years ago at the age of 59, my dandruf disappeared. My buzz gradually went from a #3 guard to a #1/2 guard (1/16"). Now my head shines as if I was bald.

Having a scalp that was constantly either too dry or too oily and the nasty dandruff that goes with it (despite all best efforts) was one of the reasons I opted for shaving it off. When the hair went, so did the problem.

Use of anti-dandruff shampoo, don't need it anymore. There's an old bottle of it under my sink, I forget the brand. Funny [knock wood] I don't get dry skin or "dandruff" in my beard, but I used to have to use the shampoo at least twice a week or it was snow-city on dark suits and shirts >:(--but that's gone O0 as a sly guy O:O

No more of that nasty-ass tar-smelling T-Gel crap (which never worked well enough to justify the stench anyway)! ;D
-
Having a SLICK MELON is wonderful and there many advantages - - -just feeling the smooth dome is great

I've got to agree with you. When I had hair it was like snowstorm no matter what I tried. Now my head is clean and smooth, gotta love it. O0

I agree, still have most of the only bottle of T-Gel I ever bought.
Another thing I don't have is ITCH. I notice guys all the time scratching their hairy head. I don't scratch, I love to CARESS my clean dome.
I hear that. No more itching - plus love the feel of my shaved head being rubbed (by myself or anyone else!)

Not sure. No dandruff, that's what I thought too. But maybe I was premature in my joy of the dandruff problem being dealt. Scalp itches after shaving, usually applying HeadLube helps, but it depends on how dry it is. To avoid itch&scratch problem (+redness of scalp) I chose to close buzz daily. I wear nowadays a black suit to work and can't help noticing some white head dust on my collar.

Recall you live in Finland, and no doubt a lot of heated buildings, so the air is really dry. Try a non-oil based moisturizer, if you can get Nivea products try their Extreme After Shave Balm, should solve the dryness issue--it only takes a little bit, and the smell is very mild and it is a pleasant smell.

saintc, thanks for the tip. I'll look into that. It'd be this:

That's the stuff. I'd give it a try, it may just be dry skin from the heat and low humidity in buildings.

Hey, SlyOne! Thanks for finding it for me in my language. Looks interesting!

thats a problem I had with hair too. My hair got greasy really easily and I had horrendous dandruff. Now i have neither of those problems :)

Man, this is just the motivation I need to take the dive. I feel like you were inside my head or something! No matter what I would use or do, I couldn't seem to get rid of my flakes.
Here's to smooth and clean. 8) Headed to the store right now!

Definitely try it, I find shaving the scalp every day solves the dandruff problem.
Before if I grew my hair out, greasy and itchy and dandruff problem, now with shaved head, no such worries!

Amen! Even if I could grow back a full head of hair I wouldn't because of dandruff.
