i want to grow a beard but every time i get to about 5 days of growth my face start to itch.should i wash it and use lotion on it every day? will that slow down the growth of the beard if i use lotion on my face.what do you guys do?

I found that it took me well over a month to get used to the beard, it was itchy for ages. I'd recommend moisturising and brushing regularly. Look up a beard care guide online, you'll find lots of good tips.

use beardoil every morning and evening and a board brisle beard brush
after a while the itch will go away

Most guys get some beard itch with a new beard. It may only last a few days, or could last a few weeks. Some guys get relief with beard oils. The good thing is, once it is over, it is over. Unless you shave again, then it starts over again.

Isnt beard oil greasy though?
Would beard conditioner be better? Or ordinary moisturiser?
