The flattop was a good look for you. It is one of the styles I always wanted. I tried a few time, but my hair would just lay down and not hold the flattop, no matter what I tried. I could get it looking good for about 5 minutes, then it would return to laying down. Was it a difficult style for you, or did you hair naturally want to stand up?
I had similar issue with other hair styles I tried - I never found a style the was both easy to maintain and looked good for my hair. I had too much curl and waves for most styles, but not enough curl for "curly" styles. I just looked messy. So before shaving, I most kept it cut very short just to make it easier. Basically a buzz cut with enough length in front to comb it to the side.
I have alternated between the Flattop in the shaved head for many years. I normally shave my head all winter long because it?s so much easier to take care of and you don?t have to worry about.Hat head!
I too have very fine empire and only one or two barbers in the world that could cut the flat top into my hair and make it look right and it?s quite a bit to maintain. I also need a blow dryer etc. so anymore it?s just so much easier to maintain.
The flattop required quite a bit of effort on my part because my hair is rather thin and limp. To get the look I really had to use a non-flaking gel, a hair dryer, and a comb. It took 5-10 minutes for me to get it the way I liked.
Shaving my head bald? Just a razor, shaving gel, and about 3 minutes. :p This is WAY better for me.

That's exactly how it happened to me. It was supposed to be a one time headshave because my girlfriend was totally against it. By the end of the first day, she said she loved it and wanted me to keep it! So I decided to try the 30 day challenge. It only took a couple weeks and I was hooked.
I didn't have the option of laser as I already had white hair. You're still quite young, so you may want to grow your hair back periodically. At my age(70), I would definitely consider it if I had the option.

This collage showed up as a notification on my phone of many selfies before I decided to go with the bald look last year. I will admit that I don't miss those looks or dealing with my hair. I did, however, like my flattop. I may return to it if I decide to grow out my hair again and I'm not balding for reals.

I've recently found out about the 30 day rule.
For me it was just going to be 7 days, but after that period I was hooked on the look. It has now been almost 14 months now. I've been tempted to laser the rest of the hair, but I may yet change my look again.
For now bald it is!

I renewed my weapons carry permit online 3 years ago. I checked off the box that said ?bald? for hair color, but they used my old picture with hair. I had to renew my driver?s license a couple of months ago. I had the option to do it online, but decided to stop by in person to get a current photo with my bald head.

Hey guys, I got divorced 5 years ago and since then put a lot of work in improving myself and learning the art of dating. I've been very successful with it and I've been helping some other guys with their dating. If you need an advice, feel free to post up in this section and I'll help you out. For those in the dating world, I highly recommend that you read How to be a 3% man by Corey Wayne.

Nothing like a freshly shaved shiny head.

When I went to apply for my U.S. passport this May, I noticed that there was a "bald" option for hair color. While I'm not truly bald or even balding (my natural hair color is black), I quickly chose that option.
My current driver's license still shows me with hair, but I'm tempted to get a new one with the bald look. I will have to schedule a day off to get a new photo for the new DL.
