I'm with everyone else! I can get up shower, shave and gone in 30 minutes!
When I started it took alot longer than I really wanted also, but it get quicker when you get
the razor and cream you want to use down! Trust me it will get quicker when you get a routine down!
It is a different routine every morning but gets easier as time goes by!
Don't give up hope!!! O0

Yep only takes 10 minutes for me too.

Hey, man...if yer wanting to cut down yer morning routine stop the following:

Brushing yer teeth = 3 min.
Shower = 10 min.
Shaving = 5 or 10 min.
Getting dressed = 5 min.

Sh** !  Cut out all this and yer REALLY in business as far as hitting that S-N-O-O-O-O-O-Z-E button  V!0 ....and shortening your routine....maybe by a half-hour!!! :/O

C'mon..... g@@4

Hey: like everyone else has just said, it dont take more than 10 mins to shave the dome once you get used to it.  If you do decide to leave it two days, or a day in between, it will take even longer to shave each time, and longer to learn how to shave efficiently.

If you aint a mornin person, shave in the evenin, or at a time that suits you.

If it took so long to sgave I'm sure many of us would have given up by now and we'd all be on the 'sly HAIRY guys' site instead.. ;D

Hey...I've only been doing this for about a month.  My shaving time (head and face with a well-trimmed goat) has gone down from about twenty-five minutes to about ten in that short time.  Getting your supplies all lined up and ready before you start helps a great deal.  DO NOT give up!  It gets way easier as you go.
When I'm dead and gone, no one will give a rat's ass about what kind of car I drove or what kind of house I lived in.  All that will matter is that I positively impacted the life of a child.

Headblade really helps me shave my head quickly.

Some days I take my time and am sure to get every thing real smooth but if I am just taking a regular shower and shaving, I spend far more time shaving my face than my head.

I guess its just personal taste, just like some guys are jeans and tee shirt everyday and some are suit and tie, some are meticulous shavers and some just scrape the splinters off the dome and go.

Time? I think my whole shower, shave routine is 15-20 minutes.

if the confidence boost and all the attention from the lay-days is not worth a few minutes, then don't shave. some other sly guy will enjoy all the benefits. ha

Wow, you guys don't give up.  It's good to hear that most seem to be around 10 min after settled into the routine.

As far as shampoo, conditioner etc. I haven't bought shampoo in years, lathering a #1 buzz is useless as is gel or anyother hair goop.  My hair dryer is in the garage and used to peel decals, unsafely flash dry paint, thaw out fuel lines etc, not sure it has ever been pointed at a scalp.  Current head treatment takes zero time so everything is an add on.  I'm just trying to let you know where I'm coming from when questioning the time thing.

This post did get what I had hoped though, the routine page seemed a little too primp and preen for a bunch of guys.  I work in a business environment now, no longer in a factory setting, so more attention to grooming is needed.   :Xo!  Stubble is not accepted well.

I haven't ruled sly out, may still try it over Christmas. See how it looks.  If I dont like it or the routine I can let it grow and claim malfunction of the clippers for the ultra high and tight look when I get back to work.

Do they make headblades for almost every razor?

If you shave you solve your grooming issue!!!!!  And your right, we never give up  8)
The headblade sport comes with a adapter that lets you use Gillette S3 razors, or it can handle the atra 2 blades also. I think another but I like 3 blades so I use the S3. I am sure someone can advise what if any other blades it can use.

The blades you can use for the HeadBlade are:

HeadBlade Doubles
HeadBlade Triples
Gillette Atra
Gillette Sensor
Gillette Sensor Excel
Gillette Sensor 3
And any knock off of the Gillette blades mentioned above, though I would try to stay away from knock offs.

Thanks guys.  I still may try it over christmas just for kicks starting out with my old dependable 2 blade gillette first.  I wouldn't mind it if I don't scruff up too much over night.  Although I am fortunate enough I can shave the face in the morning and be fine the next day till about 1 when the 5 oclock shadow kicks in.  Besides that's become part of my look anyway.  I have one more week to research it out.   ;)

I'll post a pic when I do it.

Thanks again!

HEY 440, if ya live a decent distance from work , try what i have to do sometimes, take your shower n (blade)shave the night before and get yourself a decent rechargeble for touch ups in the CAR ! A good electric will knock off any lil stubbies on the way in to work , or the ol 5oclock shadow when ya have ta run somewhere after work . NOW, myself being a "BIG" guy, usually have plenty of time to shave the dome while the shower water has to go 18miles thru the valleys tryin to wind its way down to visit my FEET  :*)) so like the others , after you get your routine down it usually only adds 5/8 minutes   just about 1 snooze SMACK !  But, I'm SURE i kinda speak for all of us out here, we hope you decide to go sly and hang in/out here with us and stay active (posting) !  porky  oh yea,  i use ivory to shave the dome from time to time , when the strip is shaved you can tell by the IVORY squeak  O0
I'm a BIG cigar smokin, bike ridin, truck muddin, bald headed ,long bearded, tattoo'd, no sh*t takin, Southern bred, Tequila drinkin SUMANA BYTCH

Thanks Porky.  Actually I do have almost an hour drive down the interstate to work so the electric could work in a jam.

Heck 5-10 more is nothing, I was just worried about stretching out the morning.  Appreciate all the input.  I'll definately keep you all posted.  Slowly pulling me back in into the flock.   8)
