Title: The Process
Post by: Robmeister on January 14, 2007, 10:48:05 AM
This is how I've been walkin' around since I joined up with y'all in November.

Below is a #2 or #3 guard.

After taking it down to pre-shave absolute clipperness....using the Wahl Designer....no guard, short setting.

Now I'll see how quickly I can mitigate the pale shadow.....first using Oil of Olay

.....and then more drastic--albeit safe and reasonable--measures if need be.

This mile-high sun here in Denver is pretty effective.  It was a crystal-clear day today so I got about 30 minutes worth of exposure.

The Fusion works great.  Had velcro head today.  Took it back down to slick a little bit ago.

It's a refreshing kind of coolness on the newly shaved noggin' isn't it? Looks GREAT!!

Had velcro head today.

HAHA I call it the same thing because it sticks to my pillowcase or my shirt when I put it on.

Congrats on your shave!!!!!!

;D Robmeister, it's really good. I hardly recognized you before and after. Stay shaved: it flatters you. Welcome to the community of the sly. Professor Melon

Lookin' good, Robmeister! Welcome to the world of sly. The adjustment in self-image may take a while, but it's worth it. My "haired" image fades every day, especially just after shaving, before the velcro starts back up. Godspeed, Professor Melon  :D :D :D

Thanks, Professor!

I actually am relishing the adjustment...particularly in the area of headwear.  Pre-bald I simply had an array of baseball caps to cover bed-head....or a bad hair day.

Then once that hat was on...it never came off for the day (even at home)--unless I showered--as it would expose a mass of matted and/or sweaty disheveled hair (i.e. "hat-head")

Now...the cap is a fashion accessory--a quality Polo news boy style--and can be put on or taken off in any company at any time with perfect confidence of a good look either way!!

Very liberating!

I am thankful that my typical attire is a button down, hawaiian shirt because if I had to pull a shirt over my head everyday and endure the velcro effect, it would definitely bite. Guess I was destined to be sly, given I have a large supply of hawaiian style shirts in the closet.

Aloha.............beer time,
Schro

ps - Robmeister....a beret? Does that mean you're a surrendering type (French)?

One of the perks of working from home.
The beer I'm sampling right now is a Pale Ale made by the Wingwalker Brewing Company....tasty.  !B@
