Was on board at Aviano to and from Desert Storm. Great place, great people, great wine.
I've been TDY to San Vito dei Normanni, Italy and Exmouth, Australia. The women in Australia are great and friendly and the women in Italy are the most beautiful women in the world... although I have to check out Spain one of these days, just to be sure.
socctty....welcome back from TDY, I've been to similiar places my AF brother. I was stationed in Aviano and was TDY at a base near Florence. I loved Italy. Welcome back.
Is Holloman near Alamagordo? I think I was TDY there as well.

All right you all, knock it off right now. Ok, that's settled. Once again the Marines have to come in and clean up the mess the rest of you left. Hence the term "America's Finest"

Dont know how I missed this. ALL you guys are amazing. Humbled to be on the same forum as you!!!Personally i appreciate the sentiment but there isn't really that big a reason to be humbled, we've done the same, or are doing the same for our country that policemen, firemen, hell even your average public service jobs have done. Being a soldier is but one way to contribute to whatever great nation you hail from.

I am a :popo and whilst there are risks out there, they are nowhere on the scale of the dangers our armed forces face. And at the end of my shift tonight, I am comin home to my family, not abroad for months on end. Just my opinion.
