Shaving my head bald is fine, but I'm aiming for that shiny finish touch. How to get it?
Suggestions?

Believe it or not, try sunscreen. Banana Boat spray with "Dri-Block" SPF 30 works great on a freshly shaved head. Apply and let it sit then wipe off excess. Shines like glass!
I believe it, Rob6. Been doing it for awhile...and what the others suggested are good too.

Headlube Glossy, or aloe vera gel, or coconut oil, etc.

A cold rinse and Head Lube glossy. I like to do a good scrub with St. Ives before shaving also....I think that helps the shine

This is what I do, too.

Do you just use cold water? I use Head Clear then Head Lube Glossy.

Perhaps also try an oil after shaving, like pure coconut oil. Just be careful to use a little bit, cuz too much oil will leave you feeling ... well.. oily. Plus side, is that coconut oil itself is incredibly good for your skin.

Cool ... thanks for the suggestions :)

Try an ice cube rub, then any decent non-greasy moisturizer (Nivea is good). You'll have a natural shine from that combo.

HeadLube Glossy. It's tops for shine. O0

I've started doing the cold water rinse and I have to say, if nothing else, it is very refreshing. I can't believe how something that can take your breathe away can feel so refreshing. It does seem to give me a better shine too. What type of aloe vera gel do you guys use?

I would try Baby Oil or Aloe Vera Gel..

I'm with the rest.
Cold water. That's probably your best bet.

After my shave, I rinse with cold water and then apply some witch hazel. I then apply some Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel and then head lube glossy. That seems to give me a good shine on the noggin.

Also, try a daily moisturizer for dry skin..helps w/the shave, too.

my best shine was after soem baby oil. But my students realised that with my glossy head, the glossy flashcards would stick to it..... Much to their amusement (and greasy cards later) baby oil does work.... it's like high-sheen wax

A cold water rinse, a splash of witch hazel, a little baby oil rubbed in and then buffed out, then a generous amount of aloe vera gel is working so far for me. :)

Joe, you have a really nice shine. May I post the picture of the two of us from awhile ago showing the shine?

Why is it that I don't have trouble getting a shiny bald head. I just rinse with cold water and towel dry and that it. It always shines.

I use witch hazel. It closes the pores and creates a natural non oily shine.
