Is it too late for me?

Slickdome:
Howdy folks.

I've always been hopelessly straight-laced and conservative...when it comes to my appearance.  But now that I've been a Sly Guy for a few years, I'm a lot less uptight about such things.  The thing is....I regret that I've never tried any piercings or tats.

I've been thinking about getting an earring (or two), but I always talk myself out of it, because I feel like I'm way too old to start that stuff.  Whaddya think?  Is it too late?     Btw, I'm 42, and ripe for a good ol' mid-life crisis...lol.

Slickdome,  I did your bit in reverse.  Have the earrings and tat on right bicep but thought the Sly Guy BBC thing was too big a deviation.    Don't think its a mid life crisis either, I know mine isn't, just mature enough, (and I got a few years on you) to do what it is that makes you happy and unless its suppportive, others opinions aren't that important.  Just MY views, man.  Go for it!

VFRWolf:
Slickdome, I'm 42, have had one ear ring since leaving the Navy, I was 28.  Your not too old, and you don't look 42, go for it.  Start with one in the left ear, see how you like it.  I can remove mine and no one knows I have a pierced ear.  It all depends on the ear ring.  I tend to go with the silver stud, and sometimes a small hoop.  Nothing too flashy or big.

BaldRob:
I didn't get my ear pierced until I was 33...

Do what floats your own boat.  You are who you are, so might as well become who/what you want to be.  I can't give advice about the piercings (don't have any), but if you get ink make sure it is something you have thought about, and I liked starting in less noticeable spots and working out.  Watch out for ink, too it can get addictive. :-\
