has anyone seen the MTV show "TRUE LIFE"??
« on: May 02, 2009, 09:25:10 PM »
it follows the lives of 3 people who have some kind of physical flaw and are self conscious about it.

well today the episode was "true life: im losing my hair". it followed a 19 yr old college girl who has alopecia, a 22 yr old guy who has a receding hairline and bald spot on his crown, and a 25 yr old guy whos whole top of his head is thinning. i felt bad for the girl, and the 25 yr old, but the 22 yr old was a deuche lol. he was the most arrogent dude ive ever met.

im just wondering if anyone has seen this yet? ill ltry to find the episodes and post it on here.

well I saw it just now..I must say the show evokes some mixed feelings..

Its the emotional distress vs your time and energy trying to save hair vs completely accepting it..

What these guys aren't thinking about is the long term results.  The bad news for them is they are going to go bald anyways.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

That made me understand why I do not want a hair transplant. To me it looked really painful and his hair looked even worse. But it did boost his confidence which is a good thing. In my opinion he could have done that with a mach 3 tho.

The whole fungus thing is absolutely rediculous! I was yelling "It's efing genetics!" That dudes mom was off her rocker and prob the reason why that dude was a weirdo too. At least it got him off drugs and booze during that homopathic experience. I really felt bad for the girl, makes you feel fortunate that you can just shave it. No for me on a transplant...maybe if it becomes pain and scar free...prob not
just my 2 cents
