Head Shaving, Grooming & Care > Miscellaneous
finally I got taste of smooth dome
SBG Math Guy:
Let me say it's amazing how different our heads can be. As some of you may
know I have had to skip 3 to 4 days between every razor shave to ensure that
I got a good shave. Not only that but I have never been able to go against
the grain on the sides (above the ears). My Mach 3 razor just would not glide.
If I shaved every day or two then what would happen is my razor would simply glide on
top of the hairs and shave off very little (weird I know). Well ok I then even tried applying more pressure.
The result was cuts and irritation.
Yesterday I tried the panasonic ES8043 electric razor. I have to tell you I was able
to go against the grain on the sides without any difficulty and I got such a wonderful smooth shave.
I woke up today as if I had won the lottery. :@`
Now I know why so many of you like to keep it smooth every day.
The feeling is just priceless.

Oh boy, look out Math Guy! Once you've been to the land of intense shaves and felt the freedom of no stubble. Wellllll there's no turning back.
Sly Red:
A Panasonic Linear Odyssey: SBG Math Guy has the Linear that I bought from Hookem to have as my spare.
It went from Texas, to Illinois and then on to Ontario, Canada.
Math Guy, when you upgrade can we try to send it on to Alaska?
Red
SBG Math Guy:
Yeah maybe we should send it to Alaska soon. :)
I think in the near future I will get a second one just in case this one doesn't
work out of nowhere. You know I have this picture in mind that one day halfway
through shaving my head the razor will stop working. :'( then what do I do?
But yeah this poor electric razor has had to travel a lot.
By the way, just to make it more clear in case it wasn't before. So far the only
part of my head I shaved against the grain was the top.
