Hey brothers,
If you are not aware of it our county is in the midst of one of the worst wild-fires in our counties history. Over 15,000 acres are burned, 50 homes destroyed and over 100 damaged..so far. Alot of customers I do work for have homes in the potential path of this fire. It was really heart breaking today to talk to alot of them. If you can do it please make a donation to the American Red Cross for families in our area. If you want to read more about what is going on from a local source go to our local newspaper website
http://www.thesunnews.com/Thanks everyone.

I was listening to that today on the news. I was wondering if you were in danger. Hope you all stay safe and that all the firefighters can keep it under control as much as possible. PRAY for rain and No Storms. You got it bro..prayers coming your way

Thanks Timmj. Fortunately our home and subdivision are south of the way the fire is moving so we are ok. Several of my neighbors are firefighters and police officers so they are gving their all for us. Horry County Emergency Managment has already said this is along way from being over so please keep these guys in your prayers too. Just want to tell you all we also have alot of great churches and private homeowners that are opening their homes to those displaced and evacuated by the fire. A big thanks to our local House of Blues for converting their facility into a emergency center.

As of this morning the fires are 80% contained. Lets hope the wind stays down for a few days to help the firefighters.

I was just reading the article in the paper about you all down there. I remember Barefoot Landing real well. I hope things keep improving.

That area was hit hard. Most of the homes lost were in Barefoot Resort Subdivision. About 70 homes were destroyed and at least 100 damaged by the fire.
