To tell you the truth, I think that the Shaved look is alot more accepted in an interview than anything else. I mean, if you take the care of grooming yourself well, go into a interview clean shaven, shoes polished and looking solid all around, You are going to put off that Clean Look. I don't care who you are interviewing with, the worst thing in an interview is if you do not look Kempt. the Cleaner the Look, the more points you score.
My Father was a Exec for most his life, his resume does have VP for Levi's on their so the advice he gave me is definitly not Bull. He always told me two things would make or break the Look: Teeth and Shoes. As he said "You always take care of the large things, the suit the Tie, Etc... But its the small things, such as if the teeth are white & the Shoes are Mirrior finish that shoes attention to detail, no matter how large or how small."
This is funny but I too had a few people suggest growing my hair back alittle for job interviews and what not, but heres something to think about.... remember back in the 80's, when people would say, oh your hairs too long, you should cut it before you go out looking for work, and now we get oh you need to grow some hair to look presentable. And another thing, a black female coworker was commenting on a black bald guy, how sexy he was and whatever. She later confessed to me that when she first met me she thought I was a skinhead, or some KKK freak. So I proceded to press the point that when a black man shaves his head it considered sexy, but when a white guy shaves his head he's gone KKK crazy or something. For me its not a choice, as with alot of you guys on here. Its either we shave it all off or have a lot of Danny Devito look alikes running wild.

Part of the fun of shaving for me is changing people's initial perception of me and other sly guys. I like that nervous look thats change into a smile when they discover I'm a nice guy.
