aftershave care help?

I received a straight razor set for a present last fall, ive been shaving my head with the straight razor before bed every night, i usually do a touch up shave in the middle of the day with a head blade sport, i now want to shave my head with the straight razor when i get up but i dont know what sort of aftershave products i should use, ill still use the headbalde sport and the headslick before i go to bed,, Any ideas would be helpful.

I use Aloe Vera After Sun Lotion (the generic brand from Walgreens). It's not the green aloe vera gel, so it doesn't go on sticky or slippery. It's great after a shave (I use it on my face & head after a shave sometimes). It's pretty reasonably priced also.

Another Nivea Extreme fan here. 

Is that a "real" straight razor--the kind you could slit a person's throat with?
