Yeah me too.   People have actually mistaken me for a specific cop in town.  I have yet to see this doppelganger.

When I first moved to my area and was establishing myself in the local watering hole, everyone thought I was a cop...  people would give me worrisome stares, like "WTF is this cop doing in here?"

Especially if it's a young man wanting to date your daughter......

I have a shirt that says CIA on it.  If I wear that shirt I'm sure to get about 3 people asking me if I really work for the CIA.  My answer is always, "if I was, do you think I'd be wearing this shirt?"
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

How many here(who are NOT military or law enforcement) have been  mistaken for off-duty policemen or military?  Even though Im both, I always thought it was interesting.

It only happened to me once, about two years ago.  I was out drinking with a buddy who used to be in the Naval Reserves.  We ran into a guy in the Army who was just back from Iraq.  They got to talking and after a while the guy turned to me and asked what branch of the armed services I was in.   When I said none, he said I just had "the look".

Well, if you had the face hair at the time, he should have thought a bit harder.  :/O  I'm not sure if the Navy still allows beards, but the other services don't.  The only other possibility would be if you were a Reservist and grew it in between your drilling times.  ;)
