TATTOO REMOVAL

I would like to get mine removed.They lost their meaning for me. Tattoos are too mainstream now. I was 16 when I got my first tatt. I went to visit my brother in DC. He took me to this tattoo polar in DC. It was some badass dudes hanging out there. My parents were cool about it. Some of my teachers had a fit. Back then most of the people who had tattoos were bikers,military and guys who did time. LOL,now soccer moms   are running around with tattoos.

If you don't like them anymore I would recommend aa cover up tattoo. Pick something that is very relavent in your life NOW.

Mainstream should have mothing to do with your decision.

Expensive, and a constant reminder about this stuff--I think it was Jimmy Buffet (sp?) who said a tatoo is a "permanent reminder of a temporary state of mind."  Find a good dermatologist and work out a program of removal and payment--and remember many groups, Musilims, orthodox Jews, etc. consider a tatoo an offense against the deity.  This post is really going to get me in trouble--que sera, sera!

I love most of my ink. I have ONE that I hate, but I will get it covered up. I want to be fully sleeved and then some. I have so many ideas of things I want..

Tank, I can understand where you're coming from. I'm guessing you and I are close in age, and I know exactly what you mean about tat's being mainstream.
I started getting my ink at a young age myself. I was probably seventeen or eighteen.
You have to remember, this is at a time when tattooing was still illegal in many states.
So of course you had the types of people you mentioned in your post. It was still a taboo, and you could be stereotyped as either miltary or a criminal. It's amazing to me how things have changed, and I see people you would never think to have tattoo's, with more ink than I have; females with full or half sleeves, and full back pieces.

One thing that does irk me is when you see the so called soccer mom's with their one tat, usually on the lower ankle. They are the "rebels" now I guess, lol.
Tattooing has entered part of our mainstream culture, as evidenced by another thing that bugs me; these new designer shirts that have tattoo style prints on them, (Ed Hardy) and cost way too much than a t-shirt should. What a joke, and I have to hold myself back from asking the wearer if they have any ink, or even know who the artist is. 
Okay, I'm through rambling now.

Cam, I'm with you bro, I am hoping to add to my current ink and eventually have 3/4 sleeves. Funds are definitely not marked for that at this time though, lol.

Thanks, Rob. This brand is my favorite, and they really do them right. Whoever designs for this company has it down perfectly. They're comfortable with a great fit and many different designs, colors, washes and embellishments, which really makes it hard to choose. I believe you can order online through some of the fashion discounters. Let me know how it goes.
