I just wonder, how many of you all as a family still sit at the dining room table or at a table of any sorts. With todays society everyone is really busy and it seems as the family time at the table is quickly fading away. My family still sits at the table for every meal that we have, unless it is pizza night and we are watching a movie. We all have our places at the table. Where I sit, my oldest daughter sits to my right and my wife to my left and my two rug rats sit directly across from me so I can keep my eye on em. This is a time for us to catch up on what has happened thru out the day and how school went and etc.
Not wanting to eliminate anyone, this will also include those of you who are single. Do you sit at the table when you eat? Do you sit in the same place every time? Do you sit there and talk about your day to yourself?
So speak up, tell us how your family uses their mealtimes.
My family and I do sit around the table....well usually. With 3 boys 7 and under, sitting is a relative term. The boys usually sit in the same spots while my wife

fit in where we can - our table is better suited for 4 than 5. Every once in a while we will let the boys watch something on tv while we eat. Generally though we talk about our day.
All our kids are gone so my wife and I eat here and there during the week. Usually on Sundays we will have a nice meal and sit at the dining room table.
Growing up, my family had their "spots" at the table. Now my spot is on the couch with mac n cheese.
We all have out spots and we eat at the table everyday.
We all have out spots and we eat at the table everyday.
Same here. And no one had better sit in "MY CHAIR"..
We sit at the table to eat as a family. And yes we sit in the same spot every time. We eat meals as a family as much as possible and talk about our day. it's good family time for us.
Since moving in with my grandmother we all sit at the table now. When my wife and I were on our own we would sit together in the living room at our coffee table and watch tv.
But that was just because we were on our own. Had we already had a child we would of definitely sat at the table. It was always instilled in me to sit at the dinner table to eat as a family.
So now that we live with my grandmother, and especially since my son has come along, we all sit together and "chat."
Yes, we all have our certain spots.
