Im new, ready to embrace the baldness by youngsly on 29 Oct, 2008 23:37

It all started when i was a JR. in high school and some kid told me i had a bald spot on the top of my head, ever since its been getting thinner and now at 19 i have a thin spot on top and receding in the front. At first i freaked out and went to the doctors office and they said it was genetic since my dad is bald. i talked to him and he said it didnt start for him until his mid to late 20s so i was kinda bummed for a while. Then one day i realized there was no point in being depressed about it theres nothin i can do to change it so i said f**k it. i have longish hair now but i am shaving it tomorrow.
some funny things about going bald young:
i look really young for my age, when i was 18 i bought a cigar at the gas station and got laughed at by the cashier until i pulled out my id. Now at 19, i can walk in to any liquor store, take off my hat and go right in and buy alcohol without ever being carded haha so thats one thing good about receding hairline.
wish me luck as i am shaving it off tomorrow to embrace the clean shaved look
and about my luck with the ladies, well i had luck last weekend. i was wearing a hat but she didnt say anything when i took it off so thats good, she was very attractive too.
and this weekend im going to santa barbara for the halloween festivities so we will see how lucky i get with my new shaved head lol -

Santa Barbara...bro you may have "young dude with shaved head" competition down there..
our boy Tucker (bald by HIS choice) is down your way...young dude too...LOVES the bald look and attitude..

hey man! You have a great attitude about this! I'm 23 and I wish I had the tude you do. I mean it doesn't seem to have much of an effect on your confidence with the ladies. But go for it dude and make sure to post some pics for us to see!

the sooner you do it, the better!! i shaved mine off yesterday and i love it. don't pay any of the negative comments any attention and love being bald!!!
