hello everybody.i started my laser epilation treatment.after first procedure, the effect was only at the top of the head (mbp area), and over the ears a little bit. it burned only the weakest hairs, maybe their follicules are located on the minor depth then the others. we tried to increase the power, but still no effect.based on the information i found on enternet, i think the laser we used cant go deeper then 4mm in depth and thats why it doesnt burn follicules (they are located on the 5-6mm depth).my treatment was done by Alexandrite laser (Candela GentleLase) on 25, 30 and 35 J/cm2 power.can somebody recommend me which laser type should I use and what power to set? maybe diode laser or neodymium Nd:YAG laser?yes, i would like to ask the specialist in our cosmetology centers or clinics, but no one of them never did laser epilation on the scalp and they can t help me with that. they only say "well. lets try this, lets try ".help me please. my head looks verry terrifying for 3 month long, and i worry of staying with this look foreversorry for bad english. and thanks for your help.
I think you just need more treatments. I'll post some pictures in a couple of weeks, but I started out just like that. I just finished my 4th treatment, and the edges keep recedind a little more with each treatment. It's happening slowly, but it is working. If you read through this entire thread, you'll see that it's common for people with really thick hair to need 8 - 12 full treatments.
thank you for reply. i just started to read the topic. hmmm. i thought each single hair can be only burned or not burned at all during the procedure, no any medium state. still will appreciate the info from the guys succeded with their laser treatment : what laser had your doctor used? in case if I couldnt find that info on the topics pages.
