ISO Ideas for The 2nd Date
k_floss:
Hi everybody --been awhile since I posted on here, but just thought this would be the perfect place to ask this.
Without going into details, lemme just say that I've not been on an actual REAL date in a VERY long time --several years, actually --NOT by choice (and yeah, I DO shower -lol).
Well, I finally just had one this past weekend and I'm freaking out because she's the first one to come along that hasn't blown me off either before (the standard) or after it (at least not so far -lol), and in fact, we'd even gone so far on that very evening to set the 2nd date.
So, my question to all of you is --since it's been so long for me and I obviously have no clue as to how to play "this game", what does one DO on a 2nd date? How does/should it differ from the first?
Is that the date where I actually pick her up? (the first one we met somewhere) Is it supposed to be the more "romantically-minded" one? (we did, btw, kiss on the first date).
Any ideas ideas as to what to actually DO on the second date?
BTW, I'm scared s***less! -lol Talk about an obstacle course!

Havent been in the dating scene for over 16 years. Depends on what you did on the first date. Did you just go out to eat dinner? Movies?
I would say on the second date...make it a fun date. Dont get romantic just yet, but make it sweet and unforgetable. When i took my wife of 16 years out on her first date we went out to a nice dinner and then to the movies. The second date, we went to a drive up restaurant that had outside seating, went and played putt putt golf, drove the go carts and met a few of my friends at a local bar for a few drinks. She had alot of fun, obviously because about a year later she accepted my proposal.

Couldn't agree more with Tim on this one. If the first was a nice dinner date, for the 2nd, find out what activity she likes, whether its hiking, sports game, arcade (like Dave & Busters or Gameworks), amusement park... I think those dates tend to bring more out of people, and you have fun. Us dudes tend to open up and talk more while doing side by side activities, so you may find it easier to open up.
just my 2 cents.. good luck!

The off track betting is fun for a short time, then dinner and a walk on the river/shore.

Hey bro, first thing to do is relax. I know it's hard, but we'll try to help you get to the point where you can relax.
Like the others, I don't know what you did on the first date, but some of the best dates I ever had were doing simple activities like going hiking, going snow skiing, and other little activities like that. I like the suggestions that time2shine made. One of the dates I went on we ended up in Toys R Us and just played around with the different toys. We eventually got kicked out because we were racing down the aisle on those bouncy ball things that you sit on.
Pick a place to start off, then have a couple of possible things in mind to do after that initial thing. For example, plan on having lunch at an outdoor cafe or something. Keep the conversation light hearted and fun. Then say, "I was thinking of a couple things we could do after this such as A, B, and C. Which sounds the most enjoyable to you?" Some of the suggestions could be a movie, a walk in a park, amusement park, etc.
