0#Go for it. This is a very private decision.....why not try a genital piercing......a Prince Albert perhaps.

I think a couple of hoops,  maybe 1g is a good accompaniment to the sly look.  You are a bit young for a midlife crisis however.  some day you will awake and be 40 and ax,  how the hell did this happen?  Just do it and enjoy being 28.  Nowadays an employer doesn't really care as long as you are valuable as an employee.

I can think of a few thousand reasons why not.   :o

Well I been a member of Sly since sometime in 2008. I love the bald look ever since I first shaved it off nearly 3 years ago. I started to visit here again because I been thinking about getting the ears pierced and even though i have never posted to the forums I have read a ton of your guys post and you seem to never  point anyone in the wrong direction.  The wife says it wont look good on me but do whatever I want to do. What do you guys think? is it me?

I recommend you get yourself a pair of these in a thicker, more manly size.

That's a good woman, you should put a ring on her finger and keep that one! Oh that's right...good call Corey.

@ Samtheman.  Its funny cause I been thinking that was the way to go as well.  I seen a few guys on this same thread who had those and they were talking about certain gauges and what not. I have no idea what looks good or what gauge I should go for. I guess I could always ask the guys at the piercing / tattoo studio what they think.  I just want to be sure I would look good with my ears pierced to begin with so I can be confident in my descision to do this. thanks for the input though I will look more into that style.

I think a small gold, hoop that is rather thick is the way to go.  The one in my AV, my wife bought for me this past December. I don't wear it all the time.  I have 2 in my left ear, and the hoop compliments the top stud well, I (we) think.    One thing about an ear piercing, if you don't like it,  it doesn't take very long for it to grow closed.   So I would think this is a win - win opportunity.

@ Cvasara,  So your saying the one pierced ear look would be the best for me?  Were you an ET2?

Yes, Sir, that is what I'm saying.  Start with one ear, and if it looks good, maybe think about the other one.    For me, one is plenty, but I do have two in that one ear.

And yes, that is quite observant,  I was an ETN2  back in the 'old' days.  Not many pick up on that,  but I do wear that hat everyday.

I had a thick bent barbell in my left ear for a time. It got infected and I had to let it go. But I really liked the way it looked.

Maybe not everyone has served in the Navy. I am currently and AE1 going on my 11th and final year in the Navy. I transition to civilian life in December and cannot wait. I have had some great times, some bad times and met some great friends but at some point you either out grow the Navy or you get sick of playing the political game and I think I have a little of both. I don't regret my time in but I am ready to move on. Anyways sorry to get off topic.
