Bad news, boys and girls...

The Robmeister just got diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

I got declined on my own life insurance that I wrote on myself  :*)) :*))

Called the underwriter to pitch a fit and all the damn numbers, levels and indexes were off the freakin chart for hyperglycemic type 2, man (HYPO- is low blood sugar).

I haven't had a full physical with blood work for at least 6 years or so......GOOD NEWS.....the medical exam for the insurance caught this.

BAD NEWS.....I have to pull WAY BACK on my black & tans and kettle one.

GOOD NEWS.....I have no choice but to get my butt in shape PERMANENTLY.

GOOD NEWS....with my type of diabetes the general rule of thumb is "If you don't drink....don't start.  If you do drink....don't stop"

BAD NEWS....I'll have to slam on the breaks and become a MODERATE drinker (B-O-R-I-N-G)

GOOD NEWS....MODERATE could mean enjoying 2 kettles on ice EVERY NIGHT....actually helps reduce blood sugar when kept at moderate levels.

BAD NEWS....now i'll have to be the f**kin' designated driver at our SLY gatherings  :Xo!

skiking:
That is one serious bummer.  At least you can see a bright side to it.

Well Rob.... to make sure you don't feel left out at nexy year's SLYCON.... I'll be sure to get nice and toasty so you have someone you can drive back to the hotel.

Anybody else want a piece of this action??? Maybe we could pitch in and rent a bus, pop an old Letchen Grey cassette into the player, and have Rob drive our intoxicated asses around town.... Anybody???

Paul:
Glad you found out in time Rob.  That is not the kind of thing that should be left unchecked.   Send out a prayer for ya anyway.

slyinglide:
Does that mean that all the "Bald Head Kisses" that you give are going to stop.......Lack of Alcohol!

THank God you caught it early....Type 2 Diabetes is very manageable and can go away with the correct diet and exercise.
