Is there another way to do in house pull-ups?

I don't know.  I've never done them at home for the same reason -- no place to do them.

Razor, have you seen this?

I have a bowflex but I would consider getting the iron gym. Might order it tomorrow.

No, I hadn't.  I wonder if it really works.  Looks like you need a doorway with no door in it, which I don't have.

Negative. As long as you can open the door 90 degrees it will fit.

Cool.  I may have to give that a try.

I couldn't do a pull up if my life depended on it.  Push ups, maybe 5 without cheating.  I've never been into exercising other than walking.  I've been blessed with being thin (just not fit).

BUT,  our family just got a Wii Fit.  That is a great thing.  My 12 year old son is very over weight and the Fit may actually do the trick for him.  It is really a blast and good for you too.

Hey, Max, we just got a Wii fit a couple of weeks ago.  It hasn't got used much yet.  My mother-in-law bought it for my wife.  Let us know how you do with it.

We love the Fit!  Just like everything else, you have to keep at it.  There is enough vareity for a good work out.  My personal favorites are in the yoga section.  The balance games are fun too.

While working static posts, me and a bud used to do 20 push ups every 30 minutes as fast as we could, on our 12 hour shifts. We would do this only on work days, we worked a three day on, and three day off schedule. In three days, at 480 push ups a day we would do 1440 push ups during our three day work scedule. I did that for a few months and was rock solid! (we still hit the gym, but chest days were much more functional instead of pushing huge weight)

those perfect push ups are pretty cool.
I use them in the crossfit workout I do.
One of the workouts is...
15 push ups, 12 dips, and 10 overhead presses with 115 lbs...superset.
Do as many supersets as you can for 20 minutes....i go all out and it just kills me even though its only 20 minutes

A buddy of mine from the fire academy was just telling me about crossfit today--and I was JUST looking at the site 2 minutes before seeing your post.  How's the crossfit working for you?  It sounds like it'd be really really good to get into--but it seems  a little overwhelming at first I think...  How long have you been doing crossfit?
