Hi Guys
I use an alcohol based liquid after the hot water rinse/shower on my noggin. Then I apply the shaving foam & afterwards I apply more alcohol before I close the pores with cold water & ice cubes. Is this the normal format or would it be better to use the alcohol after the ice cubes?
p.s The question is open to interpretation & may be misconstrued. We all know that the best time to use alcohol is in fact all of the time.

Cheers!
I don't use an alcohol-based anything as my scalp tends to be on the dry side...
If ya have oily skin issues or pimples or what not....prolly best to apply the alcohol while skin is still warm and pores are open for the cleansing effect.
But for that COOOOOOL feeling to take you to work or into your day.....the alcohol would work after everything as the final application
But I ain't no dermotologist.
I'm not a Dermatologist either, but I want to play one on t.v.
I use alcohol right after I get done shaving. That way my pores are open and the alcohol can do its job. It only takes a second for it to work, then you can reapply a hot towel and reopen them for a moisturizer if you want

Ay.....fer sher....fer sher
I use an estringent (sp?) after I get out of the shower (I do the cold rinse and ice cube before getting out) and before putting on a after shave balm. The back of my neck is very sensitive, but so far using the method I got from Red, I've able to keep from breaking out (razor burn) for the most part.
