I was 8 years old playing Jr. Hockey in Michigan in the winter of 1969 but man I do remember some of the music. Both of my parents were musicians so music holds a very special place in my life. I ended up becoming a recreational musician myself. I enjoy quite a diverse range of musical genres.

Peace & Groovy...

What a groovy thread.

It's a groovy day, and you're a groovy girl
Throw your cares away, it's a groovy world
So come on

Groovy summertime and sunny skies
Do I have to tell you girl what it's all about
The sky is blue above us on the inns across the street
Everywhere you turn it's a loving scene
Do you know what I mean

Groovy summertime and you're groovy too
I got a lot of good times I want to spend with you
We'll have fun together just walking hand in hand
We'll have fun together, baby, I wanna be your man

It's a groovy day, and you're a groovy girl
Throw your cares away, it's a groovy world
So come on

Groovy Summertime and sunny skies
Do I have to tell you girl what it's all about
The sky is blue above us on the inns across the street
Everywhere you turn it's a loving scene
Do you know what I mean

Summertime!

Ah shake, c'mon now baby shake
Ooh, yeah, shake, that's it

Listen while I talk to you now
I tell you what we're gonna do
There's a new thing going around
I tell you what they're putting down
move your body all around just

Shake, shake it in the morning
Shake, shake it in the evening
Shake, shake it pretty momma

Shake it like a bowl of soup
let your body loop-de-loop
put your hands on your hips
kinda let your backbone slip
move your body just like a whip and just
Shake, shake it in the morn!

I do remember seeing this movie called "Wild in the Streets". Here is the plot. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063808/plotsummary

And I had this song on 45 rpm from the movie. Max Frost and the Troopers.

Anyone else remember it?

This also came to theaters in 1967...I remember seeing it at the Sun Theatre in Williamston, MI, a single screen old style movie house that is still in operation today. www.suntheatrewilliamston.com
