There is no way in HECK I would try that........I would rather have a taser put to my N.....neck and discharged..
I was told to think outside the box, how did I get in the box in the first place?

Many wax because they just don't like to shave any areas...

"Just shave it!"

I've done it and am currently in the process of letting my hair grow long enough again to wax it.  10 weeks ago today is when I did it the first time.  Yeah, hurts like hell, but 10 weeks of no shaving!?  Worth it in my opinion.

i know this thread is a little old, but i just registered to comment on it. i am in the process of waxing my head. it does work. it does hurt... a lot. because it hurts i'm making it a long term project while i save up money for laser. my scalp stayed smooth for 3 weeks before i started to notice some hairs growing back. i then stopped waxing for a month (shaving every few days). the hair that did grow back was way more sparse. i just stared the waxing process again and it was way easier than the first time. this is the site that helped me get into waxing: http://www.scalptweezing.com/full_scalp_waxing_audio_&_photos.htm

The only thing I would wax is that stupid island of hair I have on my forehead. I should let nature take its course, but I hear it doesn't go away with some people.

I don't mind having a tiny fade of horseshoe around my sides, but that island really gets on my nerves!

The first time that I went bald, a friend of mine was in school to become a beautician. She thought that it would be cool as all get out to wax my head for me.

Her instructors all nixed the idea out-of-hand. Explained that it would not be a safe procedure. At all. Blood would ensue.

Personally, I could handle the pain... I'm good at that... but I wouldn't want to...

I was pretty close to trying it ; bought the wax, the warmer, the sticks, the cloth material strips - and started getting it warmed up... I chickened out, and never got that close again.

Looks like I made the right decision, by the looks of that video posted... Yikes !!  So painful !!

Its also easier to get ingrown hairs (yes, even in your head) when you wax. :S

Its right up there with using Nair on your scalp.  Its just not worth it.
