Does this site look legit to you?
« on: August 02, 2008, 11:01:52 AM »
I stumbled across this site which sells a lot of old TV series on DVD.  A lot of what they offer doesn't seem to be available elsewhere.  The ones that are available elsewhere usually have different artwork.  There don't seem to be any special features on these DVDs, and they're a lot cheaper than what sites like Amazon are charging.  They're also being advertised as "region-free" that will play on DVD players in any part of the world.

I'm thinking that these are likely bootleg copies that somebody Tivo'ed -- that they are probaby MP3 or MP4 files and that's why they're "region-free".   Probably not the greatest quality, either.  What do you think?

If it looks too good to be true ....

I agree.  It just seems weird that they're openly selling this stuff on the web when clearly there has to be a copyright infringement issue.
