Never had it, but it sounds to me like it's an English Poi vs Hawaiian Poi
for fear of sounding retarded... no, scratch that, I don't care, what the hell is Poi?!!
Funny. That's how I feel about vegemarmite.
By the way, I've had Poi and it's not high on my list. -

There are license plate holders that say "Got Poi?" or "Got Spam?" I was thinking that you could make up one called "Got Marimite?"
Something like these:
But if you do, you got to have the British Jack all the way around the plate frame. -

I'm an Anglophile but Marmite is one of the things I don't like. Give me a cup of PG Tips and a McVities chocolate digestive biscuit and I'm good to go.

Spam is another oddity that the Brits seem to like. I know we can't blame them for introducing it -- the US Army was the culprit behind that particular eh delicacy
but I've only known a few people would actually admit to eating and liking the stuff and they were all Brits.

OMG!! I used to LOVE spam fritters when I was twee and in junior school! wouldn't touch 'em now though.
Come to think of it... I remember seeing spam in the film '50 first dates', I'm sure of it...
they probably really appreciate Monty Pythons ode to spam over there in Hawaii then!
