well my hair seems to have grown a bit more than i wouldve like during my period in which i didnt shave my head in order for some bumps to recovers. i really love the look though and i want to try again(mind you....this is my fourth time trying). i think my main problem was that i found this site a little too late!!!!(my bumps were well into place by the time i found it). it sucks too....because i really felt as if i finally mastered the technique..just was a bit too late.

but here are a couple of questions i have though

1.what would be the best aftershave i could use
2.after getting a haircut from my barber, is it safe to shave the same day or wait until the next day.
3.how many times max should i go over the same spot
4.and finally, im going to college in 3 weeks...how would i maintain my slyness there?!?!?

oh yeah here is my method that i used

1.shower get the hair a little wet
2.after shower, put headslick on my head(before that i used gilette foam)
3.shave with the grain
4.shave a couple of spots over again that i couldnt get the first time because they are so darn stubborn.
5.to add onto 4, i shave those stubborn spots in running water in the shower.
6.dry my head up (just used ice once, just on my most recent shave)
7.put cvs aftershave

I'd say you should get some advice from us on your routine and give it another try.

It sounds like you're getting out of the shower to shave.  Try shaving in the shower.

What razor are you using?  You may be using too much pressure if you're getting bumps.

You should be able to shave with and against the grain and still avoid getting bumps.  Then touch up in areas if you still need to.

As for college, you should be maintaining it the same way that you do away from college.

fb, I seem to get the closest shave with a new razor, with a fresh conditioning strip.  throw the old rusties away if you have any.
A clean razor and noggin = a close shave.  Although i haven't tried it yet, Warhawk's method of using rubbing alcohol seems like it would clean your razor well.

As far as maintaining your look at college, shave in the showers there.  If its a dorm, you might create some inspiration with the other guys on your floor.  Just imagine - a dorm full of crazy college baldies!... women included.

Yes, The alcohol trick from Warhawk works great, and is it weird of me to actually like the way it burns? In one of my posts, I posed the question concerning my tap water and if it could be a big cause of bumps that I have been getting here very recently. I have been doing some testing here this week, and I will be posting the restults probably next week......I think you will be suprised
