what do I do to unwind?? Well i start by taking a rope down at my feet, wrap it up all the way around and up my body to my shoulders. I tie the end of the rope to the bed post and I jump out the bedroom window. When I get to the end of the rope I go THUG! right on the ground. THen I can stand up because I have been unwinding and unwinding , round and round. All the while the dog just sits there and looks at me like an idiot...lol

gr8 topic magama... i like 2 watch movies (either big screen or dvds) with my beautiful wifey, grill, have a few brews with wifey or friends, hang out at the beach & admire the view, or just a peaceful, quiet night at the house (lounging on the comfortable couch).

My favorite way to unwind is to go hiking for awhile. Gets me away from everything and everybody, I even make sure I leave the phone in the car.

To unwind I'll usually shoot a few racks of pool (billiards). I love the game and find it really relaxing. Of course the couple of whiskeys I have don't hurt either.
Barring that, I'll usually have a glass of wine or Chimay, put on some music and read a bit. I LOVE to read.

It may sound weird, but I'll sometimes read aloud. I got into the habit when I was living with a girl who liked to be read to. I got into the habit of finding my own reading voice soothing. Is that as strange as it sounds now that I am typing it?

Oddly enough, I work to unwind ...
We're in the process of packing our house in prep to move out 8/20 (and into the Marriot temporarily) and I was getting all stressed out about that. So, I went upstairs and got into some heavy software development for an hour, and that did the trick.

Usually unwind by riding my motorcycle or sitting in the woods (hunting or not). Need to let off steam then it's on the dirtbike or a good walk or run.

I do many things to unwind depending on what I need to unwind from.
A bad day at work I'll go for a ride or walk to the top of the mountain and just sit for awhile.
A long day of haying or butchering or any farm work I'll go for a bike ride, go swimming at the creek, or go to the neighbors and have a beer or three.
After a long drive from the coast or some other place with the family for 6-8 hours I'll go out to the big tree in the pasture and just lay down in the cool grass.
Other times I'll drive or listen to some old country music. In the winter sometimes I bake alot, last winter I baked cookies and such for a whole week it seemed but I loved it and thr results were very good.

I knit, and I drink. Often at the same time, which explains some of my stranger knitting creations
