Jergens Natural Glow for faces...Anyone ?
« on: July 07, 2008, 08:45:46 AM »
As a recently sly guy I have the typical pale head. I bought some Jergens Natural glow for faces and just put it all over my head and face.
I chose the one for lighter skin tones because I am a fair skinned person. Anyone have any experience with this product and some before after pics ?
I started to read another older thread but all the pics were gone from it and I noticed that was just the regular natural glow...not the one for faces.
So far the main thing I dont like is the whiteness of my head versus my face.

It takes several days and applications to achieve an even color. Be patient.

You know, I haven't tried that brand, but I picked up some other similar stuff -- whose name I can't recall right this moment. Anyway, I slathered some one, but didn't like the sticky feel so washed it back off not too long thereafter and just decided to get out into the sun a bit this week. Would be curious to see how/if it works OK for you.

Hey DJ. This is what I use to get that color all over appearance.

This is just a bronzer to even up the color. Other than that, just get a little time in the sun (with sunscreen) and in time it will even out.

Im still waiting on the jergens stuff to work...I think it does...hard to tell. I have been out in the sun a bit as well.
Im gonna keep appplying. That bronzer from clinique looks promising.  Is it a tanner or does it instantly turn you bronze ?

Instantly turns your neon glow in the dark dome a nice even bronze. The more you use the darker the color. It's a no-streak gel formula and it will rub off. It doesn't tan at all.

Stick with it.  I think you'll like it.  I'd try the darker version if I were you.

Yeah I have the darker version. I started with the light but decided just to go darker...I am closer to fair skinned than I am medium but I figured what the heck. Do you do anything special before you put it on ? Ive been washing my face and hair before application. Although this is a pain to do 3 times a day. I do notice it seems to make my skin up close a little less clear than it is normally...

I don't do anything special before I use it.  I usually put in on in the evening.

The last thing I need on my head is more crap and chemicals. I break out too easily.

Started using the natural glow for faces medium...was working a but but causing oily scalp so I stopped.
I got some of the stuff fr8 mentioned but havent used yet...it looks great on him but I want something more permanent. I do get out in the sun but my family has a history of skin cancer so I dont want to over do it..so unless I am playing sports...(in that case I want the dome out there for all to see) I will pop on a hat to protect it
if I am out for hours.
Anyone ever try sunless tanning from a salon ? Kinda like Ross on friends (although hopefully with a different result than him)

lol

I LOVE that episode of friends  ;D one of my faves, FRIENDS rocks!!  :D

okay.. so over here in england.. the teenagers seem to be quite fond of the 'fake tan' look (ie: sienna)
my daughter has a party this weekend..blah, blah.. today I took her to a tanning salon and she had
the full body spray (on a medium) and I have to say, I was mighty impressed with the results! she
didn't look orange at all, it did actually look like she'd just returned from a holiday abroad)

so to you I would say... go for it!

but... before you do DJ.. from your pic, I don't think you need it!! The top of your head doesn't look
different to the rest of your face at all and I wouldn't say you were pastey white, you look good!  :)
