yeah the 1st step is to ditch the barber. not ragging on his chosen profession but u no longer need his services. grab a new, sharp razor; some shave lube and heed the word of all of us on here and just go 4 it !!! A new world of complete slyness awaits u....now grab the blade and go for it!!!!!! crap! that sounded like a sean connery quote from the 1st highlander movie!

Why chicken out bro...

why stay a balding young bro...

when you could be a confident bald by choice chromed dude?

Go back to your barber and tell him to shave you head completely smooth..

it's a cool experience!

Go for it bro, you'll love it...

both the xperience and the new bald head!

Jeremya, you're a cool dude. Why are you prolonging this agony. You know what you really want. And that's No buzz cut. You need to scrape your scalp free of hair. It's summer and that's the best time to go for a much cooler cut. Now go over to the sink. Take out a razor and do the right thing. Don't wimp out. Do it.

Once you do it, the anxiety will be gone.  Honestly, it's really not that big of a deal and once you conquer that first shave - either by the barber or by yourself - you'll realize that you were making it out to be bigger and more traumatic than you needed to.

Nah don't go to the barber shop, you probably won't feel comfortable with having others around you staring at your head.  Thats how I was anyways... I wanted to be the first one to see myself bald and I wanted to get used to seeing myself that way, before I showed others.  So I used clippers #3,  then #2,  then #1, and finally a razor.  That way, the shock value went down and it wasn't bad at all!

Here is a tip, after you've gotten your hair short (which it is already), just use the guard and buzz one side of your head, like a hole above the ear.  That way you can either chicken out, and have a stupid looking empty patch on the side of your head, or "be forced" to shave the rest of your hair so the patch is gone heh.  Thats what I did anyways.

You may get some negative comments at first,  I got them from some of my family and my coworkers (I worked with a lot of black employees and some of them called me a skinhead- yeah I know... I couldn't believe it either, but they tried to say it in a joking manner.  Anyways after they got used to seeing me with no hair the rude comments stopped.  But I didn't keep my head bald long enough for my family to leave me alone about it.  Now I got hair (and a bald spot) and I want to shave it off again, because I've been bald before and I know it looks good on me.  I just got to do it.  It is a nice feeling knowing that you don't need to worry about hair anymore.

Without hair, people are able to focus on my handsomeness :p.  Eventually you'll take the plunge and shave it all off.  Whats the worst that could happen?  In 2 weeks it'll be back to a clippers #1 and in about 4 weeks it'll be at wear you are at right now.  Good luck, and we are here to support you!
