Welcome FSG, i'm glad you found this site.  This place is one of the most supportive sites on the net.  Come here enough, and you'll soon be sly and loving it.  Take care buddy.

Welcome ... Just remember the future is sly !

Hey Future Sly, a late welcome to you. I think you're on the right track, from the tone of your post.
I agree with BaldRob, Take it down slowly as you think you need to, and then when you feel you are ready to shave it all off, you will.

Then you'll probably ask yourself why you didn't do it sooner, lol.

Good luck and keep us posted    O0

I was in exactly the same thing. I'm the only male in my entire family ever (guess i'm taking the next step in evolution) that has MPB. It started around 30 and is slowly thinning at the crown and around the temples. I'm getting that little of island of hair on the front of my head. I'll be 40 next month so i've been dealing with it for 10 years. I started by trimming using different size guards until about a year ago when i started using no guard. Then i got a "headliner" trimmer that makes it look like you have a couple days growth. I finally shaved it totally off a week ago. I personally love it and the wife is coming around. I have yet to see any friends or other family yet and am curious how they are going to react. Hopefully they won't give me too much grief.
