I always think shaved heads is a lot like long hair: both extremes.  Agree with BALDANDRE: the attitude is the same.  conventional hairstyles are so BORING after being long haired or shaved! 8)

Welcome MD!!!  Glad you found us.  Read some of the other posts.  There is a 30 day adjusting period for yourself and any significant others.  Yours will be a very dramatic change, so yes, the feeling is normal.  Give us some photos.
