None of the above, I have foound that hair conditioner is absolutely the best thing to use to shave your head.

Actually, I found that if I throw a little conditioner on my head while in the shower before I shave, I does make it easier to shave.  Of course the lay-days don't like me using their conditioner because its "expensive and I don't need it"

HAH.

Noner: get some Proraso preshave cream/oil, for our purpose it's the same effect but it's usually a lot cheaper than conditioner. :)

Hi,

my best results are achieved by using a gel, however not a shaving gel, I use a strong styling gel !
I first wash the head and then I put the gel on the well moisturized skin together with a little bit of water.
The result is great. A perfectly smooth bald head.

Best regards
Volker (Germany)

Welcome to the group, Volker!  Interesting tip, I'm to try to find some left over gel around the house and try the one.

I've have been using Pacific Shaving Company's shaving oil and it is great.  Especially if you shave in the shower, and do so by feel, because you can keep going over spots you miss and no irritation.  No nicks either on the face or head.  I had used it on my face for a while, but it really works best with a lot of water, so it is best in the shower.  It appears a little expensive, but it does go a long way, and no blood...
