Weak Chin?

I keep reading that if you have a weak chin, then a goatee or other facial hair is a good thing.  now this might sound like a dumb question, but what is a weak chin.  Have no idea if I have one or not.  I use to have a goatee, but haven't had one for about 2 years now, go clean shaven mostly, or have 2-3 days growth.

I think a weak chin is one that is recessed a bit so that there isn't much definition around the chin.  Though, others might have a better explanation.
