Hey Mike, welcome!  If in your situation, I believe I'd just head to the barber and have him do it.  I'd say go for the buzzed look first, get comfortable with that, then try shaving it all off at least once during the summer.  After that, experiment with growing it back if you wish.  Judging just by your attitude, you'd easily pull of the sly look, and my bet is that the ladies will love it.  Stick around & keep us posted.

Alright, I did it today.

I have no idea what setting the barber used, but it's buzzed. It's certainly not as close as I'm sure it could be, but I REALLY like it so far, and I've gotten nothing but really good comments about it, so sweet.

What do you guys think?

Well, we kind of had something shorter in mind, but it looks really good on you.

As someone who just made the leap, go for the shave!  Just take care of the sensitive nature of a new shaved dome.  Have some hydrocortisone, etc. on hand for the back bumps.  Witch hazel on ice is nice!

Hey, it's not bald, but it's still pretty short. I'll bet the ladies love it much more now.

Yeah, I know it's not shaved yet, but it's a step, haha.

I think I'm gonna see how this goes for a bit, then next time that I have it buzzed I'll try it a little bit shorter...and so on and so on.

Hey Razaki, your shorter cut is much better than the way your hair was in your initial post. Give it a few days to adjust. Summer's the best time to headshave, so I say give it a try. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.
If you find you don't like it, you can always regrow your hair.

I went thru it (buzzing, playing) etc. and will never go back to hair ever.

Welcome Mike!

Look at it this way, it grows back. Try it and see how you like it. If you're not happy with it you can let it grow back.

These days the sly look has become almost mainstream and many people don't give it a second thought (except for the ladies who think it's sexy).

Give in to the dark side... it's inevitable... it's dragging you in... the head shaving monster has you in its grip.  Seriously dude, your new buzz looks good and a major improvement over your 'hairy' picture.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Dude, do it.

I'm 18 and I gotta say going sly was one of the best choices I've made in a while . Huge confidence boost, more attention from the ladies. People remember a smooth dome, and being recognized and remembered is the first step to any relationship.
