Welcome! 8)

What you say is so true: that's one of the main reasons I chose SBG's.  I like the fact most people have an avatar pic that we can identify with, too! O0

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it but i think it's an extremely important peice of 'advice' for all the would-be baldies (via mother nature).

As a preface, I'm 20 and have been losing my hair for 4 years, and i am not going to lie; it sucks.  It affects me probably 1/3 as much as it did back then, so i'm glad i've made progress.

The piece of advice i wanted to post is that i've been visiting various hairloss forums over the years and you simply CANNOT COMPARE THE MINDSET AND MENTALITY BETWEEN THOSE PEOPLE AND THE ONES HERE ON SLY.  People here are way more confident, friendly, SUPPORTIVE, outgoing and i'm sure the list goes on.  On the other hand, those places are chock-full of pessimism, vanity, criticality and self-loathing.  So i ask you, "noob member" would-be baldy, which would YOU rather be a part of?

Thanks sly.

Thanks bro!  This is exactly what I visioned the site to be.  Welcome to the site!

Barcafan, thanks for the props for SBG.
I've only been on one other website dedicated to guys that don the bald look (and that was only to read a couple of posts, never joined). So, I can't compare the two. I do know that SBG is a great group of guys (and some wonderful ladies...Love Ya  :@` ) that support guys dealing with MPB, which does suck.

Glad to see common sense wasn't wasted on all our youth! Well Done!  O0

Welcome Barcafan,

You got it, this place is full of some of the greatest folks.

There are many times through life that your outlook and attitude can be the difference in the experience... if you embrace yourself for who you are and not try to be what you think others will like or accept you are not only doing yourself a favor but the rest of the world as well.

Would never think of being part of any forum filled with gloom and doom.

I for one believe that you've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
And latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between

You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium's
Liable to walk upon the scene

To illustrate my last remark
Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark
What did they do just when everything looked so dark?

(Man, they said "We'd better accentuate the positive")
("Eliminate the negative")
("And latch on to the affirmative")
Don't mess with Mister In-Between

I believe many of my bald brethren have the same outlook.
Am I right?
Do I have an amen, bruthas?
