The shady side of South Beach exposed in this prostitution bus bust that ends with 75 arrests.
Undercover cops say they boarded a bus for a $40 fare and in exchange they were exposed to sex, drugs and prostitutes.
The bus "madam" is identified as 29 year-old Christine Morteh of Miramar.
She is one of seven facing felony charges, including engaging in. directing others, and deriving support from prostitution, as well as operating a business without a license.
She was released after posting 5,000 dollars bond.
The bust also recovered a missing person.
Authorities say it was a chance meeting between the prostitutes and detectives.
"It wasn't even planned," says Miami FBI spokesperson Judy Orihuela. "The agent and the detective were walking down Miami Beach and they were asked by these young ladies to join them on the bus."
She says there may be additional charges added on because the bus' activities were taken national.
"I have heard that the owners of this bus, they do travel around the country," adds Orihuela. "So they probably have shown up in other parts of the country."
The three-day sting is part of a city-wide crackdown on prostitution.
"....they do travel around the country," adds Orihuela. "So they probably have shown up in other parts of the country."
OH....YEAH....they've been here...a few times, man.
I wait for that damn bus like a kid stands on the corner waiting for the ice cream truck.
... as well as operating a business without a license.
Yeah, like she could get a business license....
