Ahoy, mate, and welcome aboard! The pond gets smaller all the time. Although American--a New Yorker--I met my wife (also American) in Oxford (Exeter College) in 1964. We've always been Anglophiles, miss the Empire and the glory days of the RAF and WW II, not to mention stories about the Old Queen (VR I) and the great personalities of the 19th century. Glad you're with us against the baddies. I have made my living teaching British Literature for 40 years. Since many of the royals have the same genetic gift we SBGs have, all we need is a princeling who makes the decision to become sly and shave it all off. Enjoy the site; it's the best.
