Is head shaving addictive?
KentBaldGuy:
Is head shaving addictive?
Once I shave it my head after a period of shaving abstinence the impulse to keep smooth is so strong that I can't bear not to do it and let any single hair grow and despite saying to myself "I'll do it two or three times a week", I end up wielding the razor every day. To me that just like any other addiction.
If I go cold turkey I find it difficult not to shave, but the feeling does recede after a lot of willpower and self-denial. However if I suddenly shave again I fall off the wagon and I'm back bald again every day.
What do you all think on this one, and how close is the comparison?
Tyler:
I think many guys here find it addicting. It is a process that yields a good feeling, so I'm sure guys can get addicted to that good feeling.
