Still have my 1994 Toyota 4Runner (165k on it). Although the Lovely Mrs. Schro has been hinting about a new car (recently blew a head gasket...the 4Runner, not TLMS), she knows the cost associated with a new rig. It has more to do with a "do we keep putting more $ into it, or just get a new one"? I know we could probably get a great deal right now, given the economy, but that doesn't change the fact it's still a big expense to get a new car.

Our two cars have over 300k miles combined (AND BOTH ARE PAID FOR). Love them both and hope they keep a runnin' for a while.

I have a 2003 GMC Sierra 4X4 which has, among other things, a 6.0 Liter (364 CID) crate engine and a Magnuson MP112 supercharger.  Puts out about 450HP at the crank and gets around 16 MPG when I'm nice to it. (When I'm not nice, it will do 0 - 60 in 5.2 sec. 8))  It is my pet and I have no desire to trade or sell it.  Probably couldn't get anything for it anyway.

However, to satisfy the tree-hugger in me, I just bought a 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid that gets MPGs in the low 40's.

Yes, I am crazy!!  :D :/O

Getting rid of our Nissan Altima for financial reasons but our other is a Nissan Frontier quad cab. Company furnishes me a truck to drive so really no need for two vehicles.
Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

2000 F-350 crewcab and is paid for so there will be no tradeing or upgrading for me. i really enjoy not having a truck payment.

also i know reasons are diffrent for diffrent people, but no matter what fuel costs, you only live once and i ant missing anything because of high fuel prices.

Had I not been in the Grand Cherokee when I had the accident ... Well, I would not be making this post

Call me crazy, but I just purchased a 2008 GMC Sierra.  Got an awesome deal.  Now is definitely the time to buy.  My wife is looking at smaller, more fuel efficient cars, but I can't see driving anything but a truck.

I wouldn't want to know the outcome if I had been driving the PT rather than the Safari.

I own a 2004 GMC 2500 crew cab diesel truck.  I will be keeping it because I need it to haul my camper and I do have a 1994 Plymouth Duster to drive when diesel fuel goes back up again.
