Another reason to be glad you're sly

Razor X:
I went to a barbershop near my office today for my weekly goat trim.  They posted a sign informing customers that they were raising their prices due to a rent increase.  The price for a man's haircut is now $22.   This is just a plain-vanilla, no-frills barbershop, not a fancy salon.  When I was at the buzz cut stage and still getting the sides buzzed tighter than the top, I'd get a haircut at least every two weeks.  No way I could afford that at these prices.

Luckily, the goat trim still only cost me $5.   :)

That's pretty high. The barber close to me still only charges ten bucks.

Razor X:
$10- $12 is about what I used to pay, but it's been about 5 years since I needed one.  Before that, when I had enough hair to actually style, I'd pay a stylist about $20 to $25.

D.A.L.U.I.:
I was paying $30 a cut to preserve the mop and tend to the "combover."  Once I buzzed, I started doing that myself, but it was only like five weeks until I finished up.  I really liked my barber--we had a relationship of at least 15 years--, and if I had enough hair not to have a combover, I might not have gone Sly.  But, MPB marches on and I just had to get out front.

I had tired of paying such outragoues prices so i bought a Wahl hair trimmer and used it  a few times a month until i went sly.
Now it gets NO use LOL

When barbers are raising prices for no real reason (why would gas prices affect it THAT much? A 20% increase? )
then i'm sure happy to be sly!
