Here is my favorite picture of Zach, my son and best bud.  He is 10 now and still in the "I love you Daddy" stage.  I'm not looking forward to the teen years when that may change....

You all have got some great looking kids!  I've gotta say that my wife is the closest one to me.  She's stuck by me through a lot of crap, and can make me laugh like no one else.  Plus she puts up with my bullsh$%.  I'm one lucky dude.

Yes TimmJ... But like I said, I grew up with them. Well sorta... (They keep telling me I'm so immature  (*!z@) Most my friends will tell you they don't know anyone who has the kind of relationship as I do with my kids. We are always goofing off. They say they wish they could be like me.

HerronM... You might get lucky And he'll always be in the "I love you Daddy" stage.

Sounds like me, Funshine.  I am always being told by my  kids taht I need to grow up! LOL....they say taht I dont act like their friends fathers.   Well I dont come home from work and sit in a chair, doze off before dinner and just take the night off.  I have fun, part of living a good life is to have fun right?  heck I even taught my daughter the correct way to go out TP'ing.  I told her you hold the loose end and toss the roll...lol you dont hang it piece by piece..lol

i am guilty of clowning too much with my boys too. but you know what. they talk to me. they know i am always accesible when they need/want to talk. nothing is off limits. may not be the best way, but it seems to work for us. my kids are not bad or troublemakers. they are just boys. i have been tp'ing houses with my son and nephew. we had a blast. we will do it again. my 15 yr old tells me he loves me all the time. no matter who is around. he will laugh at his friends if they question him not being "cool". he just tells them that he loves his dad and he ain't ashamed of it. my 7yr old still thinks daddy is the best. but hopefully he will not draw away as he ages.  my thought is that you have to stay close or you will lose them.
