Ex Navy man myself, also served carrier duty. Looks like she's doing great and you have every right to be proud.

Funshine, it is good to hear from you.  Tell your daughter that we are proud of her.

FunshinePa,  I am very proud of your daughter and everyone else that serves in the Military.  I am also proud of you and every family member of Military personnel.  Family members are the unsung Heroes, making sacrifices for the country that we don't give enough recognition for.

I also served in the Military, and went into the battlefield, not allowed to tell my family where I was going and how I was for 8 months.  They sat at home, did there jobs, lived their lifes,  all the while, hoping and praying I was ok and not dead. It took a big toll on them.......it was probably bigger than the whole war did on me.

I was told to think outside the box, how did I get in the box in the first place?

My kid isn't in the US Armed Forces, but I am proud of the uniform he wears.  He works for a police department in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  He puts it on the line every day, just a little closer to home...
